AASB 13 Webinar

This webinar will provide a brief explanation of what VAGO will be expecting from councils relating to the AASB 13 guidelines. Then we will hear from Surf Coast Council and Golden Plains Shire on the processes these councils went through, the challenges they overcame and some tips on what to look out for.
There will also be an opportunity for those online to ask questions.

In partnership with CPA Australia, FinPro has produced a guide designed to help local government in Victoria comply with the requirements of AASB 13: Fair Value Measurement.
The guide aims to apply the fact patterns in Australian illustrative examples accompanying Appendix F Australian implementation guidance for not-for-profit public sector entities (Appendix F) in AASB 13 Fair Value Measurement (AASB 13) to similar scenarios that may arise in the Victorian local government environment.
